Hello,

I have a problem with new UDE. When I add the code in the ude.cdl file like always, it work, when I set new separate file for my UDE, everything is ok.

The problem in on another computer with NX 11.

I do everything the same and NX dont see my UDE, only default is there.

Why is it like that?

Did you restart NX after editing the .cdl file?

Look at the log file and make sure it is looking at the correct files, there may be some customization in place that is not apparent.

Yes, I restart NX every time, when I change .cdl files.

I checked configuration file in Preferences and there is everything all right.

What do you change and where? File names, folder paths, are the include settings of the CDL files the same?

Which CDL file is the selected CAM configuration pointing to, etc.?

Hi,

I add custom UDE to main file ude.cdl.

On my computer it works good, on other computer its invisible for NX.

I think, that some option in NX is not enabled, but I dont know which.

Configuration file incude the main ude.cdl like the same as on my computer

Look at the NX log file

File - Help -  Log File

search for

UGII_CAM_CONFIG

and

UGII_CAM_USER_DEF_EVENT_DIR

Make sure they are pointing to the folders you expect.

I have also seen when someone edited the .cdl file that it had a .cdl.txt extension and the option to hide extensions for known file typoes was on.

If all else fails call GTAC  that's what your maintainance  $$ are for.

Have you compared the two files with a file comparing utility?

Have they been the same?

If the additional entry is the only change, just copy your file over to the other user.

You would get rid of all these copy actions by setting up a server share with the NX configuration and everyone used that.
