I have a problem in NX using CAM Robotics, I need the robot to be holding the part, while tool with its holder is stationary. I tried swiching the POCKET and PART Machine Component (and a whole lot different combinationts of Machine Components with different classification), but that din´t seem to work, as well as alternating the kinematic chain.
Does anybody have similar issue and found any solution?
Load the sample machine ABB_IRB_6640_235_255_MW instead of what you are currently using. This machine was designed specifically for what you are asking about. The MW at the end of the name stands for Mounted Workpiece, where the robot holds the part and not the cutting tool.
If you need to configure your own robot to do the same, look into the Machine Tool Navigator after loading this sample robot to see how this kinematics chain was created. It should help you.
