Where is the value of "ptp_file_name" set in post?

We use NXCAM with TC. In NX8.5 the output-path of the ptp-file was:

C:/TEMP/D1594417_1/ptp/nc_program/machine1_itnc530/D1594417_0.ptp

In NX10 the output-path of the ptp-file is:

C:/TEMP/D1594417__0____4/ptp/nc_program/machine1_itnc530/D1594417_0.ptp

The variable-name of this path should be "ptp_file_name". Where does it come from? I can't find a place where it is. Why is there a difference in NX10 between NX8.5?

I believe that's the reason, why it's not possible to debugg the post in NX10. Native the debugger works.

There's 2 (or more) variables used:

 global mom_output_file_full_name
 global ptp_file_name

You need to check/set both.  If they are not consistant, I would set ptp_file_name to be the same as mom_output_file_full_name.

The "temp" folder used by NX when running in TC is an NX/TC thing, set as the file is opened.

I don't set this global variables. They come from system automaticly.

Actually, to me the path name does not matter. I only thought, that this could be the reason, why the debugger is not running. Perhaps I'm wrong with it.

I want to know why debugger in TC-Environment is not running, also with one of your standard-posts, See Attachement. Nativ, without TC it is running.

I have no problems running the debugger w/ TC2007 / NX7.5

I'd suggest reporting to GTAC

You need to report this to GTAC.

It's possible something changed in how TC names temporary files, that is not known by the review tool.

I think the place where ptp_file_name is set is this:

...\Siemens\NX 10.0\MACH\resource\template_dir\cam_output.tcl

in particular you should check this proc

proc DBC_form_output_path

but i don't know if it can solve your debug problems.

hope it helps
