Is there a reason you can't program this as a variable axis operation?

You can use a multiaxis operation like variable contour? Pick the curved faces in the operation and use "Projection Vector"--> "Toward line" The line would be the centerline of the part.

Hi

Have tried all the options of Variable Contour Operation in Multi Axis but not able to achieve the results.

There was a post earlier:

WRAP NX CAM Operation to Cylinder -

https://community.plm.automation.siemens.com/t5/NX-CAM/WRAP-NX-CAM-Operation-to-Cylinder/

wherein same objective is shown achieved using user defined operation (UDOP)

Am attaching prt file if anyone can generate same as shown in video please..

Thanks

Probably not exactly what you are looking for, but as a starting point I came up with this in the few minutes I had to play with it. Some issues with geometry caused spiking.

If the machine supports "Cylindrical Interpolation" (G07.1 on our machines)

It is possible with some post customisation to use planar mill operations to do this.

I am not sure if it is possible to get CSE to simulate this correctly.

As we mostly use this for engraving on the OD of parts in a simple mill turn, simulation has not been a priority.

I liitle bit edit your prt-file and toolpath, add feedrates and spindle speed, not so important, and wrap your path. You can use tapered tool or you can use multi-level CAVITY MILL operation. See attached prt.
