Z-level Profile with "extend at edges"

Pioneer
Pioneer

I am trying a very easy surface to machine, I thought....
- there is a face which I want to machine with a Z-level operation
- It looks good, but for certainty I would like to extend across the edges a bit

The result rather shows like I am adding a level in Z-direction more.

The MCS_MILL is not exactly as the "operation's Z-level" but I thought this was not a requirement
(or to have a specific sub-CSYS which did have the Z-axis in that direction)

I have pictures of the 1st operation
And the 2nd containing the extend at edges.

Thanks for the advices

if you have a issue with extend due to set up or geometry simply change
engage and retract to linear or relative vector to your desired direction

It looks like you have a solution.  For future reference Extend at Edges will extend your top and bottom Z but that can be easily contained by adjusting the top and bottom of the cut range.

@Mould_United,
For me it was surprising that "extend at edges" does what the cut levels do,
adjusting the range in Z-direction.

And that the in my eyes 'extending of the cutting paths across the edges' is done by the non-cuting moves.

But a working solution is my final scope, so I am happy.
