Can anyone explain RCS and its usage with examples or best practice?

Ihave been using NX CAM for a while but never have a chance to use RCS.

I is supposed to help when transforming operations to relocate the Tool Axis, Clearance plane and avoidance points.

Frankly I have never needed this, been using NX / UG for many, many years.

Maybe i'm missing something?

Ive never use it too.

When I transform operation the operation rotates with its start/from point etc. I dont get it.

So what is the purpose in real example? I could not grasp it from documentation.

Because when customer has question about it during the training what I have to tell him - never use it, Ive never use it? Smiley Very Happy

you could always customize it off the dialogs ;-)

From my point of view it is an ancient relict that has not been removed.

Today it is no longer necessary to use it, since you can specify the MCS purpose directly.

The NX documentation has a section about its intended usage, but I have never seen someone use it in the last 20+ years. In addition in our setups it is set to always be linked with the MCS.
