cannot get cutter to start from arc center

below is a screen shot that shows two toolpaths, the one on the left is what I am getting out of NX, the one on the right I edited to show what I need, that is, to bring the cutter down on the center of the circle, then lead in on a line, arc on, profile, arc off, lead out on a line. NX is getting it close, but no matter what I do I cannot get it to go to the center of the circle to start. I have tried various engage settings for the Engage Type, Radius, Arc Angle, Start at Arc Center, etc. but I still cannot get it right. This is in a Finish Floor operation.

I have also tried holemaking and I can get it to start from the center, however, it leads in on an arc without a linear move so cutter compensation cannot be used and I need that for these parts.

Re: cannot get cutter to start from arc center

Hi Gary,

Attached I'm sending a video showing how you can configure de engage motion from the center of the circle.

I hope this help.
