I'm still not quite sure what you're asking for.  The picture I took was how to select a faceted body for your stock definition.  Are you asking how to put a STL into the manufacturing assembly?

yes

want to define an STL as stock
and a STP as part
assemblies should probably do not know
thank you!

Re: file type STL for model Stock

Hello Marcu,

Looking from a process point of view, i might ask you: Where is this STL file coming from?

In NX8 it is possible to use "IPW - In Process Workpiece" as a Blank Selection.

This allows you to select the "rest material" from a previous NX CAM Setup.
It does not matter if that is a setup in another part or the same part.

If your Blank (STL) is coming from another source than NX you need to open/import the STL file, add it to the assembly and follow the selection that CAM has given.
