Post-Configurator does not yet include a GUI for editing DEF and CDL files, but there is done work on it.

You should also attend a post configurator class to make sure you work according to the best practice guide.

Currently you will have to do these things manually:

  1. create your own separate TCL file to handle your UDEs
    • Add procedures for your UDEs as described in the NX documentation for UDEs
  2. edit the PSC file created by PC to include your custom Tcl file in the sections
    • Configuration => Sourcing => Sequence
    • Configuration => Content => tcl

You should now see the output of your UDEs.

Hi all,

Stefan is absolutely correct. We released an editor for DEF elements with NX11.0.2 and working on an editor for the UDE for Post Configurator.

Stay tuned, we will announce it as soon as it is done, but it is in the making right now.

Might as well need someone to fix this forum. I tried to give 1,000,000 KUDOS at once and it failed.

Luck with the new developments, we are looking forward.
