howto change operation subtype icons

How can you change the icons of the operation subtypes? I can't find it in the documentation. I can't find the icons either in the NX install folder. Are these icons perhaps included in the template file itself?

You can found the information on operation subtype icon customization in NX documentation, here:

CAM -> Manufacturing General -> Cam Customization -> Create a Template

CAM_ICON.JPG

NX icons files are not available since icons are embedded, however you can use bitmap files as explained in the documentation.

Aha! I mistook CAM_ICON for CAM_PICTURE. So, one problem solved, I can change the picture.

Is there a way to get a list of the mebedded icons?

that's a little tricky, you have to set an environment variable:

PRINT_DIALOG_BITMAP_NAMES=1

and then you will find bitmap names in the syslog, for example:

...

&MACRO MENU, 0, UG_CAM_INSERT_OPERATION UG_GATEWAY_MAIN_MENUBAR <rbn_manufacturing_home.rtb->rbn_manufacturing_insert.grb> ## !
Used Dialog <Create Operation> Bitmap: floor_wall : SQ : LC
Used Dialog <Create Operation> Bitmap: floor_wall_ipw : SQ : LC
Used Dialog <Create Operation> Bitmap: face_milling : SQ : LC
Used Dialog <Create Operation> Bitmap: face_milling_manual : SQ : LC
Used Dialog <Create Operation> Bitmap: planar_mill : SQ : LC
Used Dialog <Create Operation> Bitmap: planar_profile : SQ : LC
Used Dialog <Create Operation> Bitmap: cleanup_corners : SQ : LC
Used Dialog <Create Operation> Bitmap: finish_walls : SQ : LC
Used Dialog <Create Operation> Bitmap: finish_floor : SQ : LC
Used Dialog <Create Operation> Bitmap: t_cutter_slot : SQ : LC
Used Dialog <Create Operation> Bitmap: hole_milling : SQ : LC
Used Dialog <Create Operation> Bitmap: thread_milling : SQ : LC
Used Dialog <Create Operation> Bitmap: planar_text : SQ : LC
Used Dialog <Create Operation> Bitmap: mill_control : SQ : LC
Used Dialog <Create Operation> Bitmap: mill_user : SQ : LC
&MACRO DIALOG_BEGIN "Create Operation" 0 ! DA1
