lathe grooving operation leaving stock

Pioneer
Pioneer

I'm using NX9.0. When I create a grooving operation, it's leaving a few thou of stock. I checked all the stock settings I could find and they're set to 0. Thanks for any suggestions!

The GOTO line here should say 2.499, and you can see air under the tool.groove1.JPG

Here's the stock setting menu:

Turn off the 3D solid & display the spun section (make sure it is correct).

Is cleanup turned on or off?

Profile stock?

Could be a bug you need to report to GTAC.

Thanks for the suggestions. Everything looks ok, though. Spun section measure correctly. Cleanup is set to down only; changing it to none didn't seem to change anything, though. Additional profiling is unchecked profile stock is set to 0 in cutting parameters.

How about changing your Intol/Outtol to a tighter value?

Where are you tracking the tool?

Did you measure from the tool to the part?

I have seen where the tool path replay "looks" questionable but the output is correct.
