Error: couldn't open "./mom_information.out": permission denied

I have this message in LOG-FILE  when try to postprocess my NX operations. But at another PC workstation - no problem, all operations postprocessed without any probllems.

I dont set REVIEW or DEBUG options, why postprocessor need some additional permissions for write .out file?

What a reason of error message?

You would have to figure out where "." is.

Unix or Windows OS?

- could be the "start in" folder?

- check mom_output_file_full_name (I think that's the variable) to see where it is going, could be the same folder

- could be somewhere else

- maybe use regular tcl to figure out where "." is? (list the files or something)?

It could be on the one system, you have write permission, the other you don't.

Re: mom_information.out

First 2 things to check...

Can you create files in the location of the part?

Can you create files in the location of the output file?

Also, is there anything in the sysylog with a full file path?

Thanks for advises.. I will check.

More detailes - I try to build 2 files, for channel1 and for channel two, I use temporary files to redirect output, and after all remove temp files,

In log I can see message - MOM_remove_file could not remove file = C:\ ..... I understand - it impossible.

But at another PC - all rigth.

Typically if you can't delete a file, something (i.e. the post or NX) has it locked open.

I would try putting a

MOM_output_to_listing_device "Opening file xxx.yyy"

and

MOM_output_to_listing_device "Closing file xxx.yyy"

at appropriate places to make sure everything is being opened & closed correctly.

Note if your post crashes, that could "lock" the file open.  If you get the dreaded "Error in do_event" (probably also anything else that aborts the post), make sure to close NX & restart it before assuming anything.  As I typically get a fair number of them during post development, I have to remember to do this regularly.

Hope this helps...Ken
