$mom_output_literal M=VNSRV[32] doesnt work  does anyone know how to get that simple formula to output as text.  \ in front of brackets doesn't seem to work.

You want the line below:

 

MOM_output_literal " M=VNSRV\[32\] "

Just an FYI, you had $mom_output_literal not MOM_output_literal, thats the problem.

As an alternative you could consider:

 

MOM_output_literal {M=VNSRV[32]}

 

Disadvantage however, is that you cannot use commands or variables in the string.
