The only thing that comes to mind is that ultimately Siemens in the business of making money and paying their bills. Unless you have an outdated license file.

Some of this and maybe many other features such as calculating assembly mass in the assembly navigator should be basic functionality... it is on every other package.

If the license is not one of the latest bundles, then the module is not added to it automatically.

We do have the latest NC foundation bundles with latest add-ons for 2.5D, 3-axis and 5-axis milling, but there is still no work instructions license included.

Anybody knows the license name, so we can check our license files?

If you are asking about feature name, I guess it is: nx_wi_authoring

Thanks for that, seems not to be included in any of our license files :'(

Even the offsite beta license has it only as a floating option and not included in one of the bundles Smiley Sad

Hi All,

To use NX Work Instruction is necessary a add-on license.

The product name is NX Work Instrction Authoring (NX30442).

This product enable user to create and publish the work instructions in HTML and/or PDF.

I hope it helps.

Jean Marcel,

What is not clear to me is this...

The add on license that is being discussed here... Are you saying this should  be part of CAM bundle? or this product is intended to be an add on available for purchase?

Hi @turuleng,

I'm saying this product is an add-on license available for purchase.

Thanks.

God forbid we'd get an actual functionaly improvement for the maintanance we pay every year. Smiley Frustrated

Re: nx10 Work Instructions

We are well aware of the user complaints about the licensing of work instructions. We understand you view this as a replacement for shop docs, which is part of CAM Foundation, for which you pay maintenance.

This has been under review for several weeks, and I will let you know when I have any news.
