order of event

I have a problem with the timing of an UDE.  With a teach mode op the UDE runs before the "First move".  With a roughing cycle the UDE runs after the first move.  Has anyone every seen this?

I never noticed this myself. Have you tried the markers in the UDE dialog? They are able to tell when a ude is called within post builder. This could get you the output you desire.

Using NX 8.0.3.4

Re: order of event

And just to make sure...

In both cases the UDE was added to the "Start of path events"?

(in particular, for the teach mode operation, it wasn't added as a "Machine Control" subop?)

Re: order of event

And one more thing:

Avoidance geometry (From/start points, clearance plane, etc.) options the same for both?

You got it, Ken!  The from point was causing the UDE to come after the first move.  I don't think this should happen but the from point isn't needed anyways.

So the from point is causing an imaginary move and then the first move runs and then the UDE runs.  Without the from point, the UDE runs and the then first move.

edit- yes UDE was at the start events of all operations.
