postprocessor for TRAK DPLM

Does anyone have a post written for a TRAK DPLM conversational mill?  We just bought 2 of these machines, so any help would be appreciated.

Thanks, Steve

There's one in  the on-line post library:

No idea how good it is.

It's not good - that's why I reached out on this site.  Thanks for the reply!

Re: postprocessor for TRAK DPLM

I am curious - what format of code does it need? All I see on the internet is how to do the conversational programming (at machine - screens - "events".) Do you have an offline generated code example? That post from the siemens site was just a template opened and saved in PB5 - nothing in it.

The machines take G-code, and I've found that the 3axis mill post within NX is close, with a couple edits needed.

Re: postprocessor for TRAK DPLM

Not sure about your machine, but one I have dealt with will take 2 formats.

- One with full 3 axis motion, but is missing a couple drill cycles (and I never got helical output to work)

- One with 2.5 axis motion (i.e. you can't have Z motion with either X or Y) - has more cycles, and the control will translate into their internal "GUI driven" program format

Ken,

If you don't mind sharing them, I'm happy to give them a try.

Thanks,
