test version nx10.0.3.5 and nx11.0.1 there are same question
when i set the "no cuting move "-->"start /drill point "--->"overlap distance " i find the tool path don't coincide in the overlap path， are there parameters changed it？
thanks your support！
If you wonder why the tool path points are not the same, that might be expected, since the contact points are calculated in an increment from the start of path, not based on the faces of the part.

this function in order to help treat feed mark, but under the high speed spindle it will aggravate affection, can you share me some experience ?
I do not understand your question. If you do not want the recutting, then do not use any overlap.
I think he's saying he wants to use overlap to prevent a tool mark.
But if the points aren't the same (in the overlap area, between the first pass thru & the 2nd pass thru) won't this leave a tool mark? (causing the very issue he's trying to avoid)

I'd rather be e-steemed than e-diseaseled
so right ,due to language obstacle ,some quesion don't clearly communicate, in order to reduce the tool mark, must use overlap function, but i don't know why nx is this, as i know mastercam is same first and second tool path
There is no direct way to align the point distribution in the overlap area. I suggest smaller tolerance.
