CAE is an important part of the power-train design process at Ford Motor Company.  Modeling driveline dynamics for the hybrid and electric power-train systems is uniquely challenging due to the complexity of the power flow and interdependency of the controls and calibration.  To capture the unique dynamic interactions, Ford has combined simulation and physical testing to produce highly correlated time domain models.
