In order to develop a best-in-class brake system that meets all customer and company requirements, it is necessary to implement a given brake cycle that leads us to measure the overall brake thermal performance.   Most of the issues related to brake performance are thermal issues that also drives the system into brake noise, excessive pad wear and brake pedal vibration. To improve performance with a reduction on prototype cost, a virtual simulation is needed to be able to run several iterations for optimization purposes. Present paper looks to solve this problem using Star CCM+ software, to perform high-quality thermal simulation validated using experimental data from the track. The benefit from this project is related to vehicle prototype reduction and improve time delivery on brake design. Keywords: Brake, Thermal, Star CCM+, experimental, virtual testing.
