In some customer environments, it can be useful to disable the F9 shortcut for initializing/resuming Fibersim in the NX user interface.
For example, some users who often use F8 to snap to a particular model view may want to avoid launching Fibersim by accidentally pressing the wrong function key. In order to disable or reassign the macro, first right-click anywhere on the NX ribbon toolbar and select Customize at the bottom of the pop-up menu.
Next, on the “Commands” tab of the Customize dialog box, click the Keyboard button at the bottom:
The “Customize Keyboard” dialog will then appear. Under the “Categories” list on the left, scroll down to Fibersim. The list can be very long, so be patient. Once Fibersim is found in the Categories list, click on it, then click on the “F9” entry in the “Current keys” section below. Once the macro has been selected, a new shortcut can be assigned to the right, or the Remove button below can be used to delete the macro altogether:
