Using Markers to Reference Geometry

It is often necessary to included miscellaneous lines or curves in the Flat Pattern. Markers are 3D geometry that can be printed or projected onto the actual flat pattern so they match scribe lines on the physical tools to help with alignment during manufacturing. Since Markers are usually used as reference geometry, they don’t have to be closed contours or contiguous sets of curves.  FibersimMarkers1.png

Markers can be set from the Ply form in the Additional Geometry section. Simply use the Geometry link to designate points and curves to be set as Markers. These Markers will appear in the Flat Pattern.FibersimMarkers2.png

During Flat Pattern export the Export Markers in the Options sections needs to be checked or the Markers will not be included in the Flat Patterns.
