Buffer with infinite capacity does work

Creator

Hi,

I have three source, buffer, singleproc and one drain. Source continously send the sku to buffer (it has infinite capacity)  and from buffer, its send to singleproc( each of them has different processing time) and from singleproc to drain.

simulation gets struck please find the model in the attachment.

Hi Amar,

firstly, there is a "Plant Simulation" forum for such questions, be sure to post similar questions there, to receive the fastest support Smiley Happy

Secondly your simulation does not really get "stuck", but your buffers have Zero dwelling time plus infinite capacity and your sources produce infinite amounts of MU's without time-delay in between - see where this is heading? At simulation time zero, an infinite amount of MU's is generated in the sources and moved to the buffers, so your simulation cannot get past simulation time zero.

Depending on what you are doing, consider limiting the buffer-capacities, adding buffer dwelling-times >0 or generating the parts with intervals >0 in between.

Regards,
Alex
