Revolute movement in Process Simulate

I have a resource that is supposed to make a revolute movement controlled by a PLC. The PLC has to know the current location of the resource in degrees and has to return a value where it has to move to, also in degrees. Is it possible to achieve this in Process Simulate, and if yes; how?

Hi,

Yes you can do this.

Therefore, you need to add a LB to your resource/device.

Inside the LB you can create a parameter "Joint Distance Sensor". It´s return value is e.g. "REAL".

This parameter you have to transfer via LB exit to any signal which is communicating with your PLC.

Hi Patrick,

Thanks for your reply.

How do I connect this parameter to the LB exit? I created the parameter and an exit signal in the LB, but not sure how to connect these two.

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

When creating a LB exit of type "REAL", just put "jds_parameter1" in value expression of the exit.

Just start typing "jds_" and it will show you the list of proposals.

At least, you should have a signals of type REAL. Add it in the area of the exist under "connected signals".
