Hello JT2Go Forum,
so happy to find the new version JT2Go Dektop 11.2 64Bit.
Now it is possible to work with JT (VFZ/VF) Files that needs more than 3 GB workspace.
Thank you so much for this version it is so helpful.
Now I have an question for it, get we the new kernel 11...64Bit also for Solid Edge ST9 Viewer and for Insight Connect (German View and Markup) and later for Xpresreview too?
But one thing is a bit terrible the new desktop menu. You must now search in every sheet where the activation for the button bars is. This is for non-permanent JT2Go users not so comfortable.
Found the first real big ERROR.
If you try to open a TC JT-Modell (VFZ) with True shading (Render) it crashes always.
Found no way out how to open it.
The older version 10 or lower ignore always to open True shading (Render) and run.
The 11.2 Version try to find the *.jpg or *tiff and crash later.
Are you referring to the Model Views being harder to get to with your post ? You can still select model views from the snapshot gallery if that option is turned on. There will be a Model View gallery in the next release that solve this issue.
I get these files always from our customer and we add our models to it for viewing and control.
We have handled with this *.vfz files from TC version 8 up to 10 and open it with JT2Go version 8 up to 10 (mixed). Sometimes we find out that the limitation in 32 bit makes it not running.
For Example if there are much snap shots saved in the *.vfz file.
We try now for an Test in JT2Go Version 11 64 bit to open and handle bigger files. Last test I have done at my home office PC with an i5 3,3 ghz intel 8 gb workspace and an Gefore GTX750 Ti GPU. JT2Go 11.2 try to open a 300 MB VFZ file but it stops at using 33% CPU and 150 MB workspace. If I try the same with JT2Go 10.1.5 it open the file with no problems use 33% CPU and 1,5 GB workspace.
Hope this explain a bit how we try to use JT2Go.
To explain why we ask for Solid Edge Viewer (Insight Connect too) in SE9 using Kernel of PLMvis 11.... (Kernel also from JT2Go11) is we use a preview viewer for our PLM SAP Database System that based on I C / SE Viewer. But there is the Problem existing we cannot view our big power plants with the existing 32 bit version. So we ask if the new kernel PLMvis 11 64 bit is integrated in SE9 Viewer too?
JT is the common language of PLM and is the world’s most widely used 3D format. JT is the first ISO International Standard ( IS 14306-1) for 3D visualization and collaboration. Compact and accurate, JT is used throughout the product development lifecycle in all major industries to communicate the critical design information typically locked up inside a CAD file.
Siemens PLM Software customers rely on JT to be the most robust 3D visualization format available.
