At first, excuse my terrible English.
We want to install the JT2Go 11.3 viewer with a “silent installation script”
Our IT department has a problem with the “right” c++ 2013 Redistributable.
The Jt installation wants a certain c++ 2013 version, if this version is not installed, the viewer try to install it.
If there are older c++ 2013 version installed on the computer the installation fails.
Our IT department must uninstall manual the older c++ 2013 versions, after that, the silent installation runs correctly and the viewer is installed.
This is not really practicable for more than 100 PC´s
The IT department asked me for a separated msi and C++ package.
Where can I get this?
Or does anyone knows another solution?
Separate packages do not exist.
I will check with our Build team to see if there is some type of workaround or solution for this.
You can get the JT2Go msi file by doing an “administrative” install: This creates an extracted image of the installer consisting of the msi file and the files laid out similar to how they get installed. You can then install from that msi file bypassing setup.exe, which is responsible for the redist install.
To do an admin install, run JT2GoSetup.exe /a
The options in the CustomInstall.bat file can still be used, but the syntax is going to be slightly different when using the msi vs the exe.
