KineoWorks Interact is a rich Graphical User Interface (GUI) toolkit that enables software vendors, System Integrators and OEMs to rapidly develop end-user software based on Kineo software components for motion-planning, collision detection and flexible cable simulation. This article reviews some of the enhancements in version 6.0.
New capabilities and productivity enhancements
KineoWorks Interact 6.0 delivers many new functions to enhance the user experience, which include:
Graphical editing of geometrical shapes
Displaying a monitor that plots the value of a given variable during the simulation
A new path player widget that allows the end-user to simulate the execution of a path by the robot.
In addition, new tools have been added that improve productivity, including:
A new undo/redo mechanism that is easy to implement
Native support for Copy/Cut/Paste
Dynamic properties that can be added by developers to support their own data
A new built-in property panel is provided to quickly propose a way for the end-user to modify objects in the KineoWorks environment.
Additional 3D data import formats
KineoWorks Interact 6.0 is now able to import geometrical data from STEP and CATIA® V5 files in addition to STL and VRML.
