Define new tool number and tools change after local return

All

I'm looking for a way to increment the tool number after a local return in Turning.

The idea is that we have 10 of the same tools loaded in the machine and for each local return after a set distance or time the tool will increment to the next tool in sequence.

ie. T1, then T2 then T3 etc. after each local return

Thanks

Paul

hi

in local return you ussualy use also some function - M1,M0, or other event.

Put in such events custom command with incr tool number, or custom tool number variable.

Or create on extra event with what you can control incr t...

cheers

Hi
I’ve tried that but the event seems to resist any modifications.

mom tool number could resist (? dont know, so dont use  mom tool number) But what if you create your custom variable your_var (where is set actual mom tool number) and incr it and simply output literal "T$your_var" ?

So everytime it is outputed and incremented = outputing Tyour_var+1 in every local return.

..if I understood well

K,

I've created a UDE, made a custom command and added it t the start of operation event.

No errors but no output from event. Maybe I7m missing something simple.

I can't seem to sort this out even for a basic output literal staement.

Any help is appreciated.
