Two different values in the same variable

Hello,

Sometimes the same variable has two or more values in the debugger. Normally it is not a problem because the last value is the correct one.

The problem is when the last value is incorrect. What can be done?

Example:

mom_spindle_rpm= 1570

mom_spindle_rpm=100000

Many thanks in advance,

hi

I dont know where you get it, in my debug file is always one value in one variable

Probably in your case there is variable set to some default or zero and then event generator set it to correct value later.

so you can see mom_spindle rpm 0 and later 2500 in the same debug file.

But Ive never seen values in one variable in line

sorry f I dont understand

I reported this (IR7473690) and got some info back. (note mine was for mom_spindle_maximum_rpm, so I guess it is slightly different)

Note we encountered this upgrading from NX7.5 to NX10, so it occurred somewhere in that time frame.

Apparently there is a hard-coded value of 100000 in NX.

If the operation's "max RPM" (in SFM mode) is zero, then 100000 is used instead.

If you set it to a value, or change the op to RPM mode, it went away.

I'm wondering if it is a "level" issue in tcl (e.g. "uplevel" command)

The variable/value used over-rides the 100000 value?

I guess that's one way to "encourage" users to try out high speed machining ;-)

I have never problem with mom spindle speed. I am using it alwasy in initial/first move. Not sooner.

I have noticed that max rpm , 100000, but I use max rpm if toggle variable is on, or using some workaround, etc..

To get the issue solved, you would have to log an incident with GTAC & see what development says.

Be prepared to supply your part & post.

To get around the issue now, you might want to check the spindle variables to see if  they are >  90000 (I don't think there's many machines with spindles that fast) and warn the user / abort / whatever.

I would check all the settings on the feeds/speeds dialog to see if there was a setting that fixes the issue.
