Alignment indicators don't recognize sketch origin?

I've noticed that the alignment indicators, that show when the cursor is aligned with an end point or center point of an object, don't recognize the sketch origin (or datum objects either).  Is there a setting to enable that?  I find I very often want to align with the origin, and it would be nice to be able to do that inferred.

Thanks.

Hi,

I am aware of that. The alignment indicator (dotted line) does not show up for points. Since the origin is a point, it does not work for the origin either.

It has never worked, so nothing is broken. With the new alignment constraint, it is more obvious something is missing.

I checked and nobody has filed an ER for this yet. I filed ER8805883.

As a workaround I normally create a fixed length reference line on both axes. You can snap to it and align also works because there is a line end point at the origin then.

Thanks for filing an ER for this (seems like an easy feature to add), and thanks for the suggested work around. I appreciate it.
