An embedded object cannot be deleted in isolation

Hi all,

I'm turning to the community for help on this since this is happening at random for over a year after an update the company rolled out on our systems (we're at NX9.0.3.4 MP13).

For some reason when I want to move or delete parts in NX I get an error "an embedded object cannot be deleted in isolation ".

Sometimes a restart helps, sometimes the only thing that helps is going to TCE, remove the item from the BOM and add it again in NX.

This is getting really frustrating, starts costing me a lot of time and is random so I have no way of being pro-active on this as it just happens.

Can someone shed some light on this?

Thanks!

Hi @Quante,

I can see that there are several problem reports for the same error on solution center. You should report this to the GTAC with the necessary part files, log file etc.

Ganesh

Hi Ganesh,
Thx for the response, I'm afraid I cannot share partfiles due to company policy.
Log files I need to check with the local company CAD support.
Wished it was simpler of course but it usually isnt ;-)

After reading a few problem report in GTAC, I turned off the "partial loading" option thats supposed to be always on by our company default settings.
Problem disappeared (for now anyway).
Thanks for pointing me that way, I'll be sure to remember that link.
