AutoTrace in NX?

"Autotrace will convert geometry from an image to a sketch."

I wonder whether there is similar functionality in NX.

Thanks!

No there isn't.

When I have to do this, I either bring the image in and sketch over it or if it is a vector based PFD I'll use the method.

VectorMagic is pretty slick as well if you have a few to do, you can use it by the month fairly cheap.

Video is bit old but theory is the same, it explains how to use Inkscape with NX: https://vimeo.com/83654051

Anthony,

I was about to mention the videos that Phoenx PLM has published when i saw your post.

-you guys make wonderful videos, this tip on Inkscape is how I handle raster conversions.

- but please skip the music...

( btw, notice in the how to guide for "that other system" how poor the quality is on the final sketch..)

Best regards,
 Tomas

One more option is to use Win Topo similar to Inkspace, Vector Magic.
