Can You Copy An Explosion To An Arrangement?

Experimenter

Hi All,

Simple question really, can the exploded layout be copied to an arrangement?

We've a designer here who has completed a large task of creating views and has used the exploded view commands. Trouble is the JT viewing program we use here can't see the exploded view however it can see arrangements. He's completed around 30 assemblies so a quick fix would be nice!!

Thanks

Quick answer: No, an exploded view cannot be copied to an arrangement.

That's what I was thinking!!

Just thought I'd ask the experts here in case I was missing something.

Thanks for the quick confirmation cowski1 :-)

We have done all of our explosions as arrangements in NX.  We do not use the Explosion function do to explosions and arrangements not working with each other.

Hi @Paul_Nissan,

Exploded views gets stored in JT file as part of the PMI data and it can be seen in the Teamcenter Visualization. Also in free viewer JT2GO which is again based on the TCVis.
