You need to create another Number expression with unit set as constant, and in it's formula put the interpart linked expression name.
I can give more detailed information if you send a screenshot of your expressions.
Here is a screenshot. I'm new to NX12. We just upgraded from NX 8.5. Before I would just type over the text "<part name>::<expression>" with the number 2. Now I can not figure out how to type in that field.
Note the part is PB_123_32_PN.prt is not loaded. The part is "lost". "Or very hard to find".
Not sure if you would be able to link by using "<part name>::<expression>" if the other part is saved in a different folder.
Are you in managed mode or unmanaged mode ?
We are using SAP ECTR.
Maybe there is some confusion.
I want the expression DG1_0 = 2
Right now DG1_0 = "PB_123_32_PN":G1
and I want it to be
DG1_0 = 2
Oh, that should be simple.
Select the expression that you want to change value and Click on Edit interpart expression under Actions(left tab).
it will give you options to select the Part, select the part and click on delete reference , and do OK , now you should be able to change value of your expression.
That worked. I pick the one under Actions with the text says:
"Edit Multiple Interpart Expressions"
Then I could pick the part
That turned the value into a constant.
It is now DG1_0 = 2
DG2_0 = 2
