Converting assembly to solid part body?

Experimenter
Experimenter

Hi,

Does anyone know how to create a single, airtight solid body from an assembly that preserves the exterior details while removing the interior details? This is what the old Simplify Assembly command did in NX8,5. unfortunately it is not longer available in my NX11.

Probably it is a whole job to do it manualy. So I already would be happy if I could just convert the assembly to one solid body file.

Thanks for the prompt reply.

Rollin.

I don't know if there is a specific command in Nx for that. If it doesnt exist I thinki it should. A workaround would be to disasociate wavelink all bodies in the assembly to the general assembly part and then use booleans to unite all the bodies.

Hi,

I guess you can still access "SIMPLIFY ASSEMBLY". Use command finder to search for the same (i have just checked it in NX11 ...but not 11.0.1 yet).

Best Regards
