Correct Folder for Adding New Fonts to Modeling

Experimenter
Experimenter

Hey All,

This is a pretty basic question, but I'm using extrudable text in a part file to add my company's logo to the design. The correct font for the logo isn't available in the Curve>Text dropdown menu, so I downloaded the font as a .ttf, and want to upload it so that it appears in the dropdown font list. Is the correct folder UGII>ugfonts folder, or is it somewhere else? Thanks so much!

If you are using a Windows system, install it in the fonts folder (do not put it in the UGfonts folder). You'll need to restart NX after installing the font.

Hi @slcookk,

remember that if the part is modified by other user/computer, it can't. He needs to add the same font in the same manner.

If the font is used in drawing application there is an NX variable :

#  The following variable defines the set of directories that will be used
#  in addition to operating system paths to load true type fonts.  Directories
#  should be separated by semicolons.
UGII_STANDARD_FONT_DIR=

This variable works only in drafting application, not in modelling.

If you would like that works also in modelling application, you need to be linked to an existing ER...

Ben can surely respond to add this information here.

Thank you...

Using NX 11 / RuleDesigner PDM
