How can I change the name of a Custom Symbol?
I have the Custom Symbol Library set up But cannot seem to change the name of some symbols that were added to the library. The added symbols were made by copyng existing symbol .prt files and saving as. A new .bmp was created for each new symbol. However the "Old" name still displays on the list when it is used.

@joycejo the quick way to rename this is to right click on the symbol and then use rename.
When you make a save as of a existing custom symbol it's better to copy that into a new folder. change there the things that you want and place it then back to the folder needed.
When you have 2 symbols (exisitng and saved as) in one folder it's not clear which one you are going to change.
it should be nice if the displayed name in NX should be the part name.
When I open the dialog I do not have any menu when I right-click on the Symbol. Either from theCustom Symbol or Edit Custom Symbol dialogs.
I have the advanced role active
This is in NX10.0
Here is what I see . I want to change the names of the last 3 items
if you go to the reuse library navigator (below part & assembly navigator)
Here you can also select/add custom symbols to your drawing.
In this navigator you are able to right click a custom symbol and select the options.
Thanks That was the trick!!
