I wanted to cut/trim/subtract two pattern elements from my workpiece, but get an error report (See Image and prt-File).
In the discussion forum i couldn't find any help.
Is there maybe an alternative way to do this kind of operation?
Can i get the finished workpiece in .prt or .slt format?
@RickTick: Use 'Sweep Along Guide' command to create the feature and within command there is a boolean option to subtract the same feature from the cylinder. Now in your part, Pattern Feature(13) has 412 instances, Pattern Feature (14) has 378 instances. This has increased the file size and it is not easy to deal with it. Updating features take considerable time.
Now the error you are facing while doing a subtract operation is because, instances of pattern features are independent, not united together. Use Sweep Along Guide command and check the result.
Yes i want to simulate a milling operation. If i revolve my sketch i dont get the surface roughness of my workpiece and i cant determine my discretization, because of that i used pattern elements.
