Designing a warning sign 3D-model ?

Hello

What license if any do I need to place a photo of a warning sign inside NX11 ?

  • Now I'm drawing it by myself from scratch...Hard times because edges have 4pcs of Jogs.
  • How to create texts and borders that follow the jogs without using any Extruding ?
  • I also need to color those areas afterwards.

Someone told me to create the sign as a "solid model" from the start and Cut\Extrude the corners instead of Jogs ?

have you looked into using project curve onto your surface, then use divide face, then select these faces, and color them. When you project curve you have options, along vector, normal to surface. I would try along vector first.

What is the overall purpose of this ?
A 3D warning sign, where different colors appear depending on the "thickness" ???
another trick could be placing the text , say 0.1 mm above the plate, then extrude the text, distance = 0
- will create Sheet bodies.

Tomas
