What I do is to frezze a view/s, change reference set then update the others views...
I dont think you can have two different "not frezzed" views with different reference set. I would be happy if I am wrong. It would be a good improvement for future releases
Use 'Extract Geometry' command with the settings 'Associative' and 'Fix at Current Timestamp' checked. Move this extracted body/geometry to some different layer and use layer visible in view in the drafting application to show the finished and in process part.

please doesn't suggest your solution. Drafting Component for View have lots limitations.
1) Drafting Components are not real components and not part of the product
structure, therefore, they should be treated as such for all practical purpose.
They are special components intended to be used only by the drafting
application to facilitate the creation of views of parts and were not designed
to participate in the full offering of operations that standard Assembly
Components do. Replace Component was not designed to support Drafting
components and the execution thereof will lead to unwanted results and
unintended consequences. The fact that Replace Component was allowed up until
nx853 was due to an oversight and therefore the removal of this harmful
operation is not a regression.

Just to be clear, @cubalibre00. Yes the limitations you listed are true for the view created from the master file in this sceneario. However they are not a problem for the view created form the drawing itself.
My suggested solution is the best practice for the original question asked in this post. You may ask anyone in the Drafting development organization or product managemnt group and they will tell you the same. I have major customers here in Japan using exactly this workflow and they are very successful with it.
I think I will change my workflow for "solid flat" reference set views and other pre-shape views I used to create by changing reference set, uptade just one view, then freeze that view. From now on, I think I will use your method of creating a drawing component, so I dont need to freeze and unfreeze views in order to update them. Thank you Abeinjapan!
I think I will need to change my opening preferences for reference set from "model" to "As Saved". Am I wrong? I hope this wont bring any future problem.
Why NX doesnt have the creating drawing components activated by default? May it lead to any problem?
Anyway I think NX should allow users to select what reference set wants for each view as it allows for arrangements. It would be easier and with less withdraws.
