Hello

DirectModel NX symbol in Teamcenter ?

What is this ? I imported similar 3D-Parts from NX 9 to TC and now:

  • 1st xxx59 does not have a DirectModel.
  • but the 2nd xxx60 has a DirectModel.

What does DirectModel mean and should it be also in the 1st part ?

  • How to input DirectModel to it if it should be in there ?

Hello @12131444,

The Direct model, is most likely a JT file of the NX part. This is so you can use it i.e. in TCVis. To quickly show a 3D preview.

If you turn on, "Save JT data" in you save optoins, you can choose to create the JT or not.

If you need it, really depends on your needs. Technically you do not need it Smiley Happy

Kind regards,

Dennis

After setting the option 'Save JT Data', your part must contain 3D solid geometry then only JT dataset will be created in Teamcenter upon saving the part in NX.
