We are using NX7.5 at the moment and want to go to NX10.0 so I want to setup new drawing templates that have the title blocks setup so that when I drag a drawing template onto my part, the fields in my title block pickup the part attributes from my part.
What is the procedure to do this.
I don't think drag & drop will populate the attributes like you desire.
You're better off creating the templates and then using the File -> New dialog to create the drawings or by adding Sheet templates to existing drawings.
I created a bunch of videos that cover this at our company Vimeo site: https://vimeo.com/album/3065578
Recorded in NX9, but the theory is the very same for NX10.
The only NX10 (I think it was introduced then?) issue is that in NX10, drawings sheets have an editable sheet number.
So the automatic "SHEET n OF m" text - you can edit the sheet number to fix the "n" value.
Legacy drawings will have "interesting" sheet numbers (best I can tell, it is the order the sheets were created in the part file), so if you have a standard sheet name scheme ("SHEET n") you could write a journal to renumber the sheets based on their name.
Production: NX10.0.3.5 MP16/TC11.2
I'd rather be e-steamed than e-diseaseled
