Below find an ER of mine, if you find it useful, feel free to ask GTAC to be added to ER#7331881.

                            ER Template
                            -----------

Short Description of desired enhancement: <Problem rather than a solution>
It is not possible to get components from the location of the assembly and from search folders.

What activity in your process is the product not able to currently handle?
It is not possible to load components from the location of the assembly part and from standard part locations.

What result are you trying to achieve? (Please provide as many details as possible.)
I want to load design components from the folder containing the assembly part file and standard part components from search folders.

Do you currently have a workaround?
    No.

Do you have a proposal for the solution you envision Siemens PLM providing for this capability?
Merge the options "From Folder" and "From Search Folders".

What is the level of productivity gained from such an enhancement?
HIGH, easier way to specify the locations for standard parts

Other information:
Currently it is only possible to include the dot folder in the search folders, but that needs NX to be started from the folder containing the assembly,
which is not feasible, since no one starts NX multiple times just to change the current working folder for the current assembly.

BTW, I have found that adding the dot-folder is not reliable at all, so this is no solution.
