If not NX, One must have installed some software to view the 3D data. One option could be JT2GO.
"JT2Go is a no-charge, personal 2D/3D viewer that enables anyone to view .jt, .cgm, and .tif files."
The problem is that some companies have the policy of not letting workers to install software by themselves. It would be nice if NX/TC creates a .exe file or similar with an embebed JT visor beside the 3D model data.
There is no such thing that TC/NX generates executable (.exe) file.
As you mentioned if there is restriction for additional software installation like JT2GO, you have option to create and share the 3DPDF. But tools/softwares required for it are not free, you have to pay for it. Currently NX does not have any functionality that creates 3DPDF.
Acrobat Pro + Tetra4D,Anark,Theorem Solutions are some options. Though I have never used it but soon going for Anark. There are some posts related to 3DPDF on this forum. If you are intrested, you may go through it.
Thank you Ganesh, I will research about those 3D pdf translation sofware. Anyway, if Siemens wants to promove the use of JT instead fo 3Dpdf by CAD users, should make it easier to read for people that do not have JT2go or even don't know what a JT file is. Maybe having it supported by windows by default, maybe with autoexec files...
