In NX9, we could unitize a vector expression, by selecting a line, face, etc.
In NX11 it appears it wants me to type something, and the only thing I can get it to find, are other expression names? How is this supposed to work? Help files are really lacking here.
A little update on this one.
Talking with the developer, it appears that when we created the new Expressions dialog in NX 11, we ran into some limitations in our dialog system, and these limitations (regarding the depth to which menus can be launched from each other) precipitated the change.
There's apparently a way to "fix" this, but it's going to take a fairly large project. So please hang tight. I'm aware of this one now. Thanks for pointing it out.
@TaylorAnderson thanks for the update.
The reason I discovered this, is Shirish More at Siemens is going to help us with some import/export of named points, with coordinate and vector data. While i was going to create a demo file, I realized I could not create the unitized vector data.
If this is going to be a longer term project, do you have any suggestions on other methods to create vector data, for export/import via xml?
Let's work this offline with Shirish, if that's okay. (I see you've already sent me an email.)
