Dear,

I would like to mofidy my 'final' model according the needs of the moldmaker/producer of the product I'm modelling.

It's a kind of springbutton which is modelled in the theoretical shape, but mold maker would like to forsee some shrinkage compensation.

I'm able to do so by modifying the model, as from the start of the three, but I guess Global shaping can help me ? Isn't it ?

Attached you'll find a picture of the existing model with remarks of what it should be for mold making ?

thanks in advance

regards

I assume this is for warp compensation...I would use synchonous modeling, and rotate/move the faces as needed. Works great, and can be edited as needed.

Hi Emenes,

I think the deformation you need is a complex deformation.

You can use the OmniCAD for NX.

These tools will help you more easily.

Below a link for video in Youtube demonstrating one of these commands.

I hope this help.

Indeed, that's the way I did it.

But I had to go back in history and make the moves before some of the blends, as it wasn't possible to do it at the very end of the tree.

thanks for your input.

kind regards

Hi Emenes,

Yes, unfortunetely OmniCAD for NX require a separate license.
