I have created a simple cylinder then a PMI dimension, Centerline for it. While creating PMI dimension I had selected cylindrical face as associated object. Now when I hide the feature, the PMI dimension and centerline remains visible in UI.
Is this the default behaviour in NX? or Is it possible to hide PMI along with its associated feature?
Yes that is the behavior as each item is an individual object. The model, or cylinder, is on a layer and appears in all the view. The thing with PMI is that it appears in a view and on a layer. You can control the display of PMI using layers and which view is the work view. For example I have the cylinder on Layer 1, so if turn off layer 1 the cylinder disappers in all model view. I put my PMI on Layer 2, so I can turn it off on on using layer 2, but the PMI is only in the Trimetric view. If I replace the view with top, the PMI does not show up at all, but the cylinder is still controlled by the layer.
I can also turn on/off the PMI using the red check marks.
