In Drafting, I’m unable to get the number of holes (Hole quantity) in the Hole Callouts as intended in the Customer Defaults.

What version of NX are you using?

NX 9.0.2.5

The hole selected must be a member of a Pattern Feature.

Holes are inserted by the standard Hole creation method; i.e. points in a sketch as requested by the “Position”.
In the drawing, when I pick a hole with “Radial Dimension” (Method -> Hole Callout) all the holes are getting highlighted (it knows the count) but won’t insert in the callout.

Also, make sure you have set the right option in the Drafting Preferences dialog for the hole feature you're trying to annotate.
In the Drafting Preferences dialog, select the Dimension->Hole Callout node. Then, in the Parameters group, from the Type list, select the type of hole you want to annotate. Then make sure the Pattern Feature Count option is set.
You also need to fully load the component when you open the drawing part before NX can create the hole callout.

The Hole Callout option only recognized a pattern of holes that were created using the Pattern Feature. If you added multiple holes using one or more sketches, you have to manually add the pattern count to your hole callout.

Are you saying that Standard method of Hole creation isn’t sufficient enough?

How you create the initial hole is not the issue, it's just that the additional holes have to be members of a 'Pattern Feature' for the system to include the count in the Hole Callout.

Would you mind explaining the working process please?
I'm wondering how to insert holes in an arbitrary pattern in a plate to make use of this function.
