If you are using “Symbolic Threads” in your model, use “Feature Parameters” command which gives a better response.
I find “Hole Callout” has many limitations and unpredictable behaviour. (Sometimes work and sometimes not)
Few of my ERs (page1of4)
Check these out too.
I use “Feature Parameters” command, but I'm a CAD reference for my collegues and I can't suggest command that are hidden and no more supported. Anyway, I confirm that Hole callout need to be implemented.
In NX10 i'm able to place a hole callout on a symbolic thread.
The models needs to be fully loaded and use the quick pick to select the symbolic thread.
default NX will select first the hole feature.
See Movie how to select the symbolic thread.
This topic came up here, as we use both methods of dimensioning threads, because there is no single method that works for everything. When I inquired about "Feature parameters" being retired, this was the response I got from GTAC:
I've talked with the Developer on ER 7776177. There are currently plans to put this enhancement into a near future release. Additionally, there is currently no retirement release set for Feature Parameters. This tool will not be enhanced, but it will at least remain available for use until a retirement release is set. It seems to be almost certain that the fix for the issue will be implemented before Feature Parameters is retired, thus you should have a workaround until the issue is fixed.
Released some of my old Youtube uploads:
(These videos had been disbanded from NX Knowledgebase as it was showing both pros and cons)
