Look for the Unite options using the command finder... This should do the trick.
I think if you even search for merge, it will come up with this boolean function.
I hope this helps.
From the screesnshot, I cannot see, if you are working in an asembly or not.
But the unite will only work if the 2 bodies are in the same part, and the part is the work or display part.
Not sure if this is the case.
Besides this, you should select first one body, under target, then make the Tool menu active, and select the second part.
Also the bodies must touch or intersect in order to create 1 body.
I am in an assembly:
How to move parts from assembly under one part ?
You can create a new assembly component of the two bodies.
Select the two bodies and then use the Assemblies => Components => Create New Component option.
Or WAVE link the original bodies into the assembly? (not sure if this "loses" features needed for sheet metal)
Production: NX10.0.3.5 MP16/TC11.2
I'd rather be e-steamed than e-diseaseled
How can I select just the bodies in to the new assembly ?
(When the bodies are under 2 different parts)
-Part 1: Contains body
-Part 2: Contains body
The red circle (i am assuming you are indicating the Body in the part navigator symbolizes that the body is unparametrized so no editable parameters are attached to the body).
Can you please share the assembly if possible?
