Rather than left click and Enter, simply double-click the view in the View Set.

I was able to program my spaceball buttons, but it took some effort and requires that your View Sets are always named the same:
1) Create a macro that selects the view (e.g. SET_1_Top)
2) Add a New User Command "Custom_Top" to your toolbar and set the action to playback the macro
3) Assign a new Keyboard Shortcut <Ctrl>+<Alt>+1 to Custom_Top
4) Edit the spaceball button configuration and using the Custom Functions assign the keystroke <Ctrl>+<Alt>+1 to Orient View-Top

Automatic view shortcuts or hotkeys to the active WCS would be awesome... My CAM software works that way.

in NX, i just add the Set View to WCS to my radial shortcuts then use keyboard cntl-r
